The Short Version

This is a for-fun leaderboard for PSO2NGS, made for the community. We advertise nothing (except PSO2 and ourselves) and earn nothing from it (except cool videos to watch).

Here's a short version of the legal stuff below:

Privacy Policy

leaderboard.pso2central.com ("Leaderboard", "PSO2Central", "we", "us", and "our") offers a home for multiple types of speedrun-style content for Sega's PSO2NGS. Our Privacy Policy is intended to help you ("your", "you") understand how your personal information is collected, used, and shared. It is also intended to help you exercise the privacy rights available to you.

Application of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to all Users ("Users", "User") of the Leaderboard, with "User" defined as any person, registered or otherwise, that accesses the Leaderboard.

Information we collect

We collect data in two categories:

Website Information. This is collected from all Users of the Leaderboard.

• Usage Data. We automatically log data that gives us insights into which pages and hours are the most active on the Leaderboard. This information may include and IP address, location, device, browser, or similar information. This information is anonymous, and is not linked to a User.
• Server Logs. Like many websites, services, and applications, the Leaderboard automatically collects certain information when a User accesses it. These logs may include your IP address, the address of the requested web page, your browser and settings, the date and time of the logging event, and information from your user session.

User Information. For Users of the Leaderboard, we may collect the following information. This is not collected automatically, a User must choose to provide it.

• Email Address. During sign-up, a User must provide an Email Address, which is securely stored on our servers.
• Player Name. During sign-up, a User must provide a desired Player Name, which is securely stored on our servers, and displayed as the User's 'Player Name' on the Leaderboard.
• Third Party Accounts. Users may optionally set links to third party accounts including Twitch, Youtube, Twitter, and Discord. These links are stored securely on our servers to allow them to be displayed to other Users.
• Additional User Content. Additional content, including character names, user descriptions, video links, notes, and other customizations and information may be submitted by Users. These are stored securely on our servers.

Additionally, with User consent to enable some additional features, certain third parties may set and collect their own information. We do not collect additional information as a result of these third parties, but they are included for transparency.

• Google. If allowed, Google may set cookies and other trackers on Users of the Leaderboard.
• Twitch. If allowed, Twitch may set cookies and other trackers on Users of the Leaderboard.
• Discord. If allowed, Discord may set cookies and other trackers on Users of the Leaderboard.

Please refer to these third parties own privacy policies for further information on what they may collect and how they may use your data.

How we use collected information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To provide, update, and maintain the Leaderboard. We use User Information and Website Information to provide features for you on the Leaderboard. We may use Website Information to improve performance and resolve issues that arise with the Leaderboard.
• To develop additional features on the Leaderboard. We use User Information and Website Information to aid us in deciding how best to develop the future of the Leaderboard, such as new features. For example, we may aggregate and anonymize User Information to determine usage of features and customizations to aid in decision making for future development.
• To send self-service emails related to the Leaderboard. We use User Information to send User requested self-service emails, such as password resets. These particular emails are considered to be part of the Leaderboard and are necessary in the event that a User needs to perform an action such as resetting their password.
• For security purposes. We may use Website Information to investigate security and performance issues.
• For other purposes as required by applicable law, legal process or regulation, including, but not limited to, in the event that any of the information a User has provided to us is exposed to unauthorized third-parties. In this event, we reserve the right to provide notice to you electronically via any email address you have provided directly to us if permitted to do so by law.
• To respond to requests by a User to delete or disclose their collected information.
• For any other purpose after recieving a User's direct consent.

Information disclosed and shared with third parties

We do NOT disclose or share collected information with any third parties. All information we collect from a User is stored exclusively and securely on our servers as detailed in "Information we collect".

However, as a result of User consent, third parties as detailed in "Information we collect" may gather their own data from Users. Please refer to those third parties own privacy policies for information on what they may collect and how they may use your data.

Data retention

We retain User information for as long as necessary to aid in providing the Leaderboard, unless a different retention period is required by any applicable laws, rules, or regulations. Users may control the data we collect, and if requested we will anonymize or remove a Users data upon their request. The Leaderboard reserves the right to remove any information at any time.

Cookies

We use a mix of your browser's cookies and your browser's local storage to store user settings and session information. Our cookies typically exist in perpetuity, and we provide the ability to remove them through a log out link. Local storage can be cleared through your browser's settings menus.


We utilize cookies and local storage for the following:

• Necessary Information: We use these cookies and local storage to log you into the Leaderboard.


• Preference Information: We use these cookies and local storage to remember your settings and preferences.

Additionally, with user consent, third parties may set their own cookies as described in "Information we collect". Please refer to those third parties own privacy policies for information on what cookies and storage they may use.

Users are presented with options to customize their cookie usage upon visiting the Leaderboard, and may change their settings later through the Leaderboard's settings menus. Additionally, many modern web browsers allow you to accept or refuse cookies. If you reject cookies, you may still use the Leaderboard, but some functionality may act unexpectedly or inconsistently.

Links to third party websites

The leaderboard contains links to other websites. Our privacy policy only applies to the Leaderboard. If a User visits a third party website, we encourage them to read the third party website's own privacy policy.
